About the role

This role seeks a detail-oriented Planner with at least 1 year of experience to support scheduling, forecasting, and coordination of materials or production activities. You will help ensure efficient operations by aligning supply with demand, maintaining accurate data within ERP systems, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. The position is ideal for an analytical, organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working extensively with SAP or similar ERP tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production, supply, or demand plans to meet business needs and customer requirements.
  • Utilize ERP systems, with a strong preference for SAP, to manage planning data, schedules, and inventory levels.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing and operations teams to ensure timely material availability.
  • Analyze demand forecasts and adjust production and supply plans to reflect changing requirements.
  • Track order status, identify potential delays, and address supply chain disruptions in a proactive manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and operations, to ensure alignment on demand, supply, and production priorities.
  • Maintain accurate records of planning data, schedules, reports, and related documentation within ERP and reporting tools.
  • Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency, optimize inventory, and reduce costs.
  • Support manufacturing scheduling activities to balance capacity, resources, and demand.
  • Contribute to inventory forecasting, production planning, and schedule planning using MRP and related tools.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience in planning, supply chain, production scheduling, or a closely related field.
  • Hands-on experience working with ERP systems, with SAP strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in production planning, manufacturing scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking, reporting, and basic analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment that requires accuracy and attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP modules related to planning, production, and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with MRP processes and tools within ERP systems.
  • Background in inventory forecasting and schedule planning in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements in planning or supply chain functions.
  • Ability to document and maintain accurate planning records, reports, and schedules.

Work Environment

This position is fully onsite in Milwaukee. You will work in a fast-paced production and planning environment that relies heavily on ERP systems, particularly SAP, along with Microsoft Excel and related planning tools. The role involves regular interaction with operations, purchasing, procurement, and sales teams, requiring frequent communication and coordination across departments. The onsite setting may include proximity to manufacturing or production areas, where you will collaborate closely with operations personnel to ensure plans and schedules are executed effectively.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
