Planner and Product Coordinator - Dealer Showrooms

About the role
The Planner and Product Coordinator supports the National Marketing team by coordinating MSI dealer boutique projects, developing spatial and product planograms, and managing project deliverables from concept through execution. This role combines project coordination with creative spatial planning to ensure MSI dealer’s showroom layouts, planograms, and product assortments align with corporate standards and branding.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong understanding of space planning, product merchandising, and corporate branding. They should be comfortable balancing multiple projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, timely showroom solutions.
This is a full-time, in-office corporate position and is not a retail, sales, or customer-facing role.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate multiple MSI Dealer boutique planning and merchandising projects from concept through implementation while maintaining accurate project documentation, product databases, and planning files.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the National Marketing department and assigned dealer partners, building collaborative relationships, coordinating project requests, and ensuring consistent communication throughout all phases of showroom planning.
- Develop and maintain planograms and category plans, optimizing product placement, adjacencies, fixture utilization, customer flow, and spatial efficiency in accordance with corporate merchandising standards.
- Read, interpret, and modify architectural floor plans to create and maintain showroom layouts using SketchUp and other design software.
- Coordinate product planning initiatives, including assortment updates, planogram revisions, showroom refreshes, and new product placements.
- Collaborate with Merchandising, Project Managers, Graphics, and Board Production teams to ensure project accuracy, alignment, and timely execution.
- Prepare specifications, floor plans, planograms, and production files for internal teams and external vendors.
- Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Review showroom layouts and project deliverables for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with corporate brand standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve showroom layouts, product organization, planning processes, and overall customer experience.
- Support additional showroom planning, merchandising, and marketing initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Retail, Interior Design, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
- Two (2) plus years of experience in project coordination, space planning, interior design, retail planning, merchandising, or related discipline.
- Experience in creating or maintaining planograms, merchandising layouts, or retail environments preferred.
- Experience managing product assortments or merchandising databases.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications is preferred.
- Experience with retail fixture planning or showroom design.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional projects.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand spatial drawings and floor plans.
- Strong spatial planning skills with an eye for organization, functionality, and aesthetics.
- Working knowledge of SketchUp or similar 3D modeling software is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams).
- Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
- Understanding of retail merchandising, product planning, or showroom environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of visual merchandising and branding design principles.
- Familiarity with architectural or construction drawings.

Pay
This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $23 to $26 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $40,000 and $46,200 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.
Schedule
Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM.
