Planned & Major Gifts Officer

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts (with a strong focus on planned giving)
• Dedicate ~75% of time to planned/deferred giving strategies
• Support and advance a multi-year foundation campaign
• Plan and participate in donor meetings, events, and stewardship activities
• Collaborate with the Development team on fundraising strategies
• Maintain accurate donor records and uphold confidentiality

Requirements

• 4-6 years of development experience, including individual fundraising
• Experience with planned and/or major giving
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Ability to engage and influence high-net-worth individuals
• Knowledge of planned giving strategies and donor lifecycle
• Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with Raiser's Edge or similar CRM a plus

Qualifications

• Ability to move between locations and engage in in-person meetings
• Able to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in writing
• Occasional lifting or carrying of materials up to 30 lbs

• Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with donors
• Proficiency in planned giving strategies
• Effective fundraising and donor management experience

Pay

$72,332 - $78,447 annually

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed for events and donor engagement
