Plaintiff's Litigation Attorney
About the role
This is a confidential search on behalf of a plaintiff-side litigation firm based in Los Angeles, CA. The firm handles serious, high-stakes cases for injured clients and seeks a skilled attorney to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Manage an active caseload of plaintiff-side matters from initial intake through resolution, maintaining regular and compassionate client contact throughout each case.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents with precision and timeliness.
- Conduct and defend depositions, attend hearings, and participate in other litigation proceedings.
- Work collaboratively with a highly experienced legal team to develop case strategy and drive matters forward efficiently.
- Maintain organized case files, meet all filing and discovery deadlines, and utilize case management systems to track case activity.
Requirements
- Active California Bar license in good standing (required).
- Strong legal writing, analytical reasoning, and organizational skills.
- Experience managing multiple active matters in a fast-moving litigation environment.
- A genuine commitment to client service and the ability to communicate effectively with clients navigating serious health or injury matters.
- Prior plaintiff-side, personal injury, toxic tort, or related litigation experience strongly preferred.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a passion for advocacy and a proven track record of success in plaintiff-side civil litigation. They should be able to handle complex cases and maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity.
Skills
Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are essential. Proficiency in legal research and case management software is also required.
