PITTSBURGH, PA - TANK INSPECTOR – API 653 / PADEP CERTIFICATION

About the role

Assists with the planning, directing, and coordinating of various tank, pressure vessels, and piping inspection projects. Functions as both an inspector/examiner under API and PaDEP guidelines, responsible for all inspection and examination activities related to pressure vessels, storage tanks, piping, heat exchangers, structures, and other plant-related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate inspection activities for various tank, pressure vessel, and piping projects.
• Inspect and examine pressure vessels, storage tanks, piping, heat exchangers, structures, and other plant-related equipment according to API and PaDEP guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports and documentation.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to project managers and clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pressure vessel, tank, and piping inspection.
• Knowledge of API and PaDEP guidelines.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay

• $70,000 - $80,000 annually.
