PITTSBURGH, PA - ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION DEPARTMENT MANAGER

About the role

Assists with the planning, directing, and coordinating of various tank, pressure vessels, and piping inspection projects. Functions as both an inspector/examiner under API and PaDEP guidelines, responsible for all inspection and examination activities related to pressure vessels, storage tanks, piping, heat exchangers, structures, and other plant-related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate inspection activities for various tank, pressure vessel, and piping projects
• Inspect and examine pressure vessels, storage tanks, piping, heat exchangers, structures, and other plant-related equipment in accordance with API and PaDEP guidelines
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations
• Document findings and prepare reports for project stakeholders
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and regulatory bodies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in inspection and examination of pressure vessels, storage tanks, and piping systems
• Knowledge of API and PaDEP guidelines and regulations
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
• Physical ability to perform inspections in confined spaces and on elevated platforms

Pay

• $80,000 - $90,000 annually

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
