About the role
Amazon's operations team is looking for PIT Trainers with a strong record of achieving results to join the expanding team supporting operations leaders and associates in delivering strong operations results within our fulfillment centers.
Key job responsibilities
- Execute a consistent, best-in-class new hire experience in a rapid and complex changing work environment
- Using a hands-on approach, engage and excite newly hired employees in a welcoming and supportive environment
- Drive operational mechanisms to ensure an exceptional, reliable onboarding experience
- Facilitate a smooth transition from onboarding to in-path training while remaining engaged and acting as a resource for new hires
- Analyze and interpret metrics to identify areas for continuous improvement
- React quickly to serve as a resource for specific barriers and determining the correct steps to resolve
- Drive effective teamwork, communication, and collaboration across disparate groups with competing priorities
- Support a 24/7 environment that has multiple shifts and seasonal staffing ramps to meet customer demand
Production duties (as needed)
- Pick/pack orders
- Receive/stow product
- Ensure inventory accuracy
- Unload/load trucks
Requirements
- At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States
- Able to work 40 hours/week and overtime as required
- Able to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach with or without reasonable accommodation
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Support a 24/7 environment with multiple shifts and seasonal staffing ramps; shifts may change due to business needs
- High school diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- Current certification on PIT equipment is preferred, but not required
Working conditions
- Reflective vest required; relaxed, casual dress code as long as attire meets safety requirements
- Noise and temperature levels can vary day to day; hearing protection is available
- May be asked to work on a secure mezzanine at a height of up to 40 feet
- May be asked to work on powered equipment (forklift, cherry picker, etc.)
Pay
Starting pay is $23.00 USD hourly, including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. Additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
