Duties & Responsibilities
Perform a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operation, and maintenance of diverse electronic/mechanical equipment and systems and generally as a member of a design, analysis or review team on more complex assignments or as a lead on less complex assignments.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of design development, analysis or review tasks under minimal supervision.
- Act as a lead on less complex tasks and responsible for a portion of a design or section of an analysis or design review.
- Generate complete design specifications of more complex projects.
- Cook up and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status.
- Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.
- Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.
- Conduct site visits, experimental investigations and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations.
- Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
- Support development of technical proposal and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related scientific field.
- 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
- Good communications and analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- B31.3 experience
- Piping Stress Analysis experience
- Piping Specifications experience
- Piping material selection, valve selection experience
- Experience with Plant 3D, and Navisworks
- Familiar with AutoCAD and Revit
- BIM is preferred
- Previous experience with Department of Energy (DOE) projects is preferred.
- PE License preferred
Compensation
Hiring Salary Range: $120K - $140K (Annually) (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
