Piping Engineer
About the role
The Piping and Layout Planning Group is part of the GCO R&D Engineering organization based in Orlando and globally. The engineering function is responsible for developing product baselines to support customer projects. This includes 3D modeling, 2D drawing creation, structural analysis, material selection, stress analysis, etc.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Solve complex piping issues
- Review new system designs for functionality and completeness
- Engineer complex piping systems
- Answer site issues promptly and thoroughly
- Share piping/integration/flexible joint knowledge throughout the group
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET)
- 5+ years of related experience in Power Piping design/engineering
- Understanding of piping codes including B31.1, B16.5 and EJMA
- Experience designing and integrating interdisciplinary packages
- Proficiency with Bentley software (AutoPipe, OpenPlant, ProjectWise)
