Responsibilities
- Develop project takeoffs for weld count and materials.
- Develop bid packages for the materials required to fabricate the project and work with outside vendors to price materials and services.
- Coordinate with QA/QC Team to support drawing preparation.
- Develop pipe drawings and weld maps to include heat number tracing and welds.
- Coordinate with Electrical, Structural, and Process Engineering teams to ensure total package development.
- Design hydrostatic tests and supervise testing, including maintenance of test gauge calibration.
- Maintain all required code paperwork for each project.
- Travel to project sites to assist in the startup of fabricated equipment.
- Prepare purchase orders for successful vendors.
- Review project plan and schedule changes; recommend actions to ensure the project stays on time and on budget while meeting client specifications.
- Ensure project compliance with appropriate government regulations, safety rules, and company and client policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) degree.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience.
- Working knowledge of construction, industry codes, and standards (ASME/ANSI/API/NFPA/CSA codes such as ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, 49 CFR 192 & 195 preferred but not required).
Pay
$120,000 - $150,000 per year.
