Piping Designer
About the role
This role supports a major crop protection manufacturing site in Kansas City, with leadership based out of STL. The position requires travel between Kansas City and Chesterfield, utilizing a company fleet vehicle approximately 50% of the time. The facility handles the manufacturing, formulation, packaging, and distribution of agricultural chemicals. The project involves moving equipment and requires extensive piping installation, with an expected duration until 2028-2029.
Responsibilities
- Design P&IDs for piping, familiarizing with piping codes, specs, and design deliverables
- Create demo drawings, tie-ins, and isometrics using CAD and 3D modeling software
- Conduct equipment installs, removals, or demolitions with spatial visualization skills
- Communicate effectively across functional teams as part of the project team
Requirements
- Senior level experience in piping design and P&IDs
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, CADWorx, and Microstation
- Experience in manufacturing project design
- Minimum Associate's degree required
- Approximately 10 years of industry experience
Work environment
This role involves 50% travel every other week using a company fleet vehicle. The majority of work will be done remotely, with occasional visits to the Chesterfield office. This is a hybrid position in Saint Louis, MO.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $62.00/hr.
