Pipeline Technician
About the role
This position is located at our Pipelines facility in Fort Lupton, Colorado.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and operate facilities including pipelines, valves, filters, pumps, gas compressors, storage tanks, and pump station equipment in a reliable and efficient manner while in compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements
- Accurately complete all assigned required regulatory Department of Transportation (DOT) and Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) reports
- Perform safety checks and inspections and report incidents and follow up as required
- Serve as a first responder to pipeline emergencies and account for people in their area
- Understand and participate in procedures and programs intended for both personal safety and pipeline safety
- Responsible for rotating equipment, electrical, instrumentation and PLC maintenance, repairs and upgrades
Requirements
- 3 years of field experience with Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements for pipeline operations and maintenance
- A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and hands-on experience with communication and control systems, digital and analog circuitry, pumps, motors, valves, and medium-voltage equipment
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and electronic drawings, including schematics, P&IDs, ladder logic diagrams, and one-line diagrams
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLC and Control systems preferred
Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.A.
- Will work out of our Fort Lupton Refinery Business Center, located at 13250 CR20 Fort Lupton Co 80621
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract and ability to travel to field locations as required
- Ability to obtain and maintain all certifications for Operator Qualifications, Safety and other regulatory requirements
- Required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces

Pay
Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000
Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
