Pipefitter - Newport, KY

What You Will Do

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches and P&ID’s
• Lays out, assembles, installs and maintains process and utility piping systems
• Inspects work site to determine presence of obstructions and determine proper pipe path clearance
• Cuts pipe using saws, pipe cutter, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine
• Provides emergency and unscheduled repairs to process and production equipment
• Performs planned maintenance, inspection and installation on process and production equipment
• Follows job site safety and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area
• Identifies safety hazards and protects self and others

What You Will Bring

• Ability to keep work ahead of welders
• OSHA 10/30 Certified
• Using facing tools, Fischer saws, and other process related tools
• General knowledge of piping layout and routing
• Knowledge of general piping systems
• Combination fitter/welder is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Candidates must have transportation and good communication skills
• Willing to work within a 50-mile radius
• Willingness to travel to other states for work
• Be able to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions
