Pipefitter Helper

Archer Western, a member of The Walsh Group, is seeking a Pipefitter Helper for the WEGA/WB Casey WWRF Biosolids project in Jonesboro, GA. This role supports pipefitters by assembling, installing, and replacing pipe systems (metal, plastic, ceramic, and composite) and related components, including plumbing fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install piping and tubing systems that conduct water, steam, air, and other fluids, solids, or gases in and around buildings and structures.
• Install vacuum piping systems, drainage, and sewage lines (laterals) from buildings to the point of attachment.
• Handle and move materials and equipment used by plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of verifiable experience preferred.
• Experience working with piping systems and fixtures; adequate knowledge of lengths and construction measurements for tool and machinery use.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Must comply with all safety policies and procedures and communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; may involve standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
