Pipefitter Helper

Archer Western Construction is seeking a Pipefitter Helper for the West Bartow Reclamation Facility in Kingston, GA.

About the role

The Pipefitter Helper will assemble, install, and replace pipe systems and related portions including metal, plastic, ceramic, and composition; install plumbing fixtures; and provide assistance to other Pipefitters on the jobsite. Responsibilities

• Assembles and installs piping and tubing systems that conduct water, steam, air, and other fluids, solids, or gases in and around buildings and structures.
• Installs vacuum piping systems, drainage, and sewage lines (laterals) from buildings to the point of attachment.
• Handles and moves materials and equipment to be used by plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of verifiable experience preferred.
• Experience working with piping systems and fixtures; adequate knowledge of lengths and construction measurements for use of tools and machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Must comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; may involve standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
