Responsibilities

  • Production
  • Interpret specifications and read blueprints
  • Aid in laying out work for the crew
  • Pre-plan daily activities to ensure crew productivity
  • Maintain quality control of work in progress
  • Order and coordinate delivery of necessary materials
  • Comply with all documentation requirements and fill out project-related reports
  • Coordinate equipment needs and ensure operators are qualified
  • Support jobsite Superintendent to coordinate activities
  • Perform related trade work as required
  • Implement better methods of production to strengthen best practices

Qualifications

  • 4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High school diploma or GED Certification (preferred)
  • Plus 2 years of experience in supervisory role
  • Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
  • Active participation in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10's and 100's, and perform these operations using units, weight measurement, and volume
  • Common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
  • Ability to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards
  • Maintain in-depth relations with all members of their team and supervisor

Physical Demands

  • Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions
  • Maintain physical strength and stamina
  • Use arms, hands, and legs fully
  • Push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Straighten, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and climb to perform job tasks
