Pipefitter

RQ is seeking skilled Pipefitters to support our Mechanical Operations team on projects in Pensacola, Florida and surrounding areas. This position is part of our talent pipeline for future opportunities; qualified applicants will be contacted when positions become available. Work will take place on military bases and is paid the required Davis-Bacon prevailing wage.

About the role

Pipefitters will be responsible for the installation, assembly, layout, and maintenance of piping systems on active construction sites. Work must comply with project specifications, industry standards, and applicable building codes while maintaining high craftsmanship and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of four years of journeyman-level pipefitting experience or equivalent in commercial construction or facility operations
• Experience working on military, government, or large commercial construction projects preferred
• Must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at time of hire
• Must pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a Department of Defense background check for base access

Preferred Skills and Certifications

• Mechanical pipe installation experience
• Deep underground experience
• Start-up and energizing experience (boilers, chillers)
• Valid pipefitter license or journeyman card
• Current welding certificate
• CPR, First Aid, and OSHA-10 certifications

Pay

$51.59 to $53.00 per hour, depending on experience.
