About the role

A Pipefitter to provide multi-discipline capability in repair, maintenance, installation, and improvement of chemical processing equipment and building services. Systems include process piping, building service piping, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a variety of materials and piping system components (stainless steel, steel, glass-lined, plastic, copper, fibercast, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including root-cause analysis, steam traps, specialized valves, filtration systems, steam ejectors, and other specialized equipment.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Use Microsoft Office and maintenance software tools.
  • Adapt to changing priorities.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area at all times.
  • Read pipe and machine drawings; understand piping codes for hazardous (flammable-liquid) environments.
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision and communicate daily with leaders, maintenance planners, technical staff, engineering, and operations.
  • Support the maintenance team by being flexible and working across areas and trades as needed.
  • Perform tasks requiring significant walking, climbing stairs, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 30 lbs frequently and 40 lbs occasionally.
  • Work off ladders or scaffolding and in awkward positions, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Wear protective clothing and/or Personal Protective Equipment as required.

Requirements

  • Dependable with good attendance.
  • Effective analytical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent safety record; safety and environment are top priorities.
  • Knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out procedures.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Team player willing to support the maintenance team as needed.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an apprentice program or equivalent demonstrated skill level.
  • High school diploma.
  • 5–10 years of experience.
  • Welding certification a plus.
  • Some experience or expertise in mechanical, HVAC equipment, or process controls is beneficial.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8-hour days (40 hours/week). Willingness to work overtime as needed to support production.

Pay

Estimated salary: $32.00 – $45.00 per hour.
