Responsibilities

• Follow directions and assist Lead Piping Installer as needed
• Assist in installation of piping and equipment setting
• Work collaboratively and take direction effectively
• Demonstrate strong organizational and planning skills; allocate and develop resources efficiently
• Maintain a safe work environment by complying with safety policies and procedures
• Engage in continual learning and development through FirstCall Academy
• Deliver elite-level customer service to maintain our reputation as the first call for HVAC and refrigeration needs

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of commercial pipefitter experience
• Knowledge of hand cutting tools, electric saws, and electrical and gas equipment
• Experience with commercial HVAC/R (preferred)
• Experience with grooved piping, threaded piping, and copper piping (sweat, Pro-Press, brazed)

• Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
• Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
• Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and computation of rates, ratios, and percentages
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
• Problem-solving skills for handling multiple concrete variables in standardized situations
• Mental stamina for problem-solving and prioritizing tasks

Environmental & Physical Demands

• Required to work in a field environment at multiple customer sites daily
• Regularly use hands to operate computer keyboards and reach with hands and arms
• Frequently stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
