About the role
Responsible for understanding, upholding, and promoting the Everus 4EVER Strategy: Employees | Value | Execution | Relationships.
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems that carry steam, water, chemicals, or gases in industrial settings.
- Layout, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related equipment.
- Use tools and equipment, such as pipe cutters, threading machines, and welding tools to join pipes by welding, brazing, soldering, cementing, gluing, or threading.
- Fabricate pipe spools and components as per project requirements using various welding and fitting techniques.
- Diagnose and repair faults in piping systems, including leaks, blockages, or pressure issues.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to plan the layout of piping systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards.
- Test piping systems for leaks using methods like hydrostatic testing or air pressure tests.
- Lead and instruct mechanical piping helpers, mechanics, and fitters under your supervision.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of experience in pipefitting, preferably in an industrial environment.
- OSHA 10 or 30 safety certification or willingness to obtain one.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
- Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of different piping systems, materials, and industrial standards.
