Job Responsibilities
- Operate welding equipment and machinery, such as arc welders, MIG welders, TIG welders to fuse metal components.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to understand the welding specifications and join metal components accurately.
- Perform visual inspections and non-destructive testing to verify the quality of welds.
- Correct any defects or imperfections in the welds, if necessary.
- Work in various positions, including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead, as required by project.
- Work closely with project managers and other teams to ensure the proper alignment and assembly of the fire and life safety system.
- Communicate effectively with team members to achieve project goals.
- Identify and trouble shoot issues related to welding.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Welding certification preferred.
- Experience in fire protection and safety systems a plus.
Skills
- Proficient in arc welding, MIG welding, TIG welding.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of welding symbols and specifications.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
- $18 - $22 per hour based on experience.
