Pipe Fitter (Manufacturing)

About the role

The Pipe Fitter will be working in a pipe crew at a chemical manufacturing site. The crew typically works 10 hour days Monday through Thursday, but members must be available to work overtime on weekdays and weekends when required. Work will consist of piping systems, coded vessels and other mechanical work.

Responsibilities

• Follow proper safety procedures and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) in an industrial environment working around solvents and chemicals.
• Be capable of working at heights.
• Be capable of lifting up to 50lbs.
• Determine proper material needed per task and procedure.
• Be available to work weekends and holidays, day before and after as needed.
• Read and understand Piping and Instrument (P&I) drawings and isometric drawings.
• Fabricate and fit piping.
• Operate forklift and JCB lift.
• Willing to do other mechanical jobs than pipe work.
• Available for call-in emergency shutdown work.
• Perform work to quality standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-years Pipe fabrication experience in a Manufacturing environment required.
• Highschool Diploma/GED.
• Pass Background Check and Drug Screening.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Able to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working in chemical process operations preferred.

• Communication skills.

Skills

Benefits

Position does not offer per diem.

Pay

Depends upon experience.

Schedule

Full-time (Permanent), 6:00am to 4:30pm Monday thru Thursday.
