The Pipe Excavator Operator will be responsible for operating several types of power construction equipment in a safe and efficient manner, under the direction of the Foreman.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's license and satisfactory driving record
• A Class A CDL is desired but not necessary prior to hire
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• 3+ years experience on pipe crew
• Experienced in proper sloping and trenching techniques involved with installing sanitary sewer, water main and storm sewers of varying depths and soil types
• Ability to dig inside and pull trench boxes and plates
• Follow all safety and OSHA requirements
• Must be punctual and dependable
• Able to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, weekends, as needed
• Be able to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments
• Member of a Local Operators Union, or willingness to become a union member are required
• Successfully pass or has passed the Operators Union aptitude test when required
• Ability to clean, maintain, and assist in repairing equipment
