Pipe Crew Excavator Loader Operator

About the role

We are looking for an Excavator Operator with pipe laying and sewer/water experience. This role supports pipe layers, operators, and the foreman by coordinating all materials to install sanitary, watermain, and storm pipes and manholes, maintaining jobsite safety and cleanliness, and ensuring materials and workflow stay organized and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate materials for installing sanitary, watermain, and storm pipes and manholes
• Maintain jobsite safety and cleanliness
• Ensure materials and workflow remain organized and efficient
• Operate loader and backfill excavator as needed

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
• A Class A CDL is desired but not necessary prior to hire
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• 3+ years experience in Sewer and Water
• Ability to operate loader and backfill excavator
• Punctual and dependable
• Ability to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, weekends, as needed
• Ability to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions
• Ability to work in dirty and dusty environments
• Member of a Local Operators Union, or willingness to become a union member (membership may not be required prior to employment; HR can assist in the process)
• Successfully pass or has passed the Operators Union aptitude test when required
• Ability to clean, maintain, and assist in repairing equipment
