Pipe Crew Excavator/Loader Operator

About the role

Walbec Group is seeking an Excavator Operator with pipe laying and sewer/water experience to support pipe layers, operators, and the foreman.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all materials to install sanitary, watermain, and storm pipes and manholes.
• Maintain jobsite safety and cleanliness.
• Ensure materials and workflow stay organized and efficient.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• A Class A CDL is desired but not necessary prior to hire.
• A High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 3+ years experience in Sewer and Water.
• Must be able to operate loader and backfill excavator.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Ability to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, weekends, as needed.
• Ability to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments.
• Member of a Local Operators Union, or willing to become a union member.
• Successfully pass or has passed the Operators Union aptitude test when required.
• Ability to clean, maintain, and assist in repairing equipment.
