Pilot in Command Gulfstream 650
About the role
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and subsidiary of NetJets, is seeking a Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream 650 aircraft based at Palm Beach, FL (KDJT). This well-established EJM owner operates primarily domestic flights under Part 91, supported by a team of three pilots and a dedicated Maintenance Technician. The PIC holds final responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated safely, compliantly, and efficiently while delivering an exceptional service experience.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe operation of flights by:
- Verifying crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completing flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Leading required briefings using the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel as needed.
- Serving as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator per company policy.
- Conducting pre-flight tasks, including maintenance status checks, to confirm aircraft mission readiness.
- Recording all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with SOPs.
- Monitoring and ensuring completion of all ground servicing (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) per SOPs.
- Deliver passenger briefings in compliance with company policy and regulations, addressing any special needs (e.g., physically challenged passengers).
- Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate clearly and promptly with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Provide an exceptional service experience by:
- Delivering high-quality service to owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM experience.
- Investigating and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating with crew members and internal partners to ensure a consistent service experience.
- Resolving conflicts and challenges in an acceptable manner.
- Maintain proficiency and compliance by:
- Keeping regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience up to date.
- Adhering to the company Safety Management System (SMS) and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Note: Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
- FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum flight time requirements:
- Total flight time: 3,500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2,000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
