About the role
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a Pilot in Command for a Gulfstream 600 aircraft based at Charlotte, NC (KCLT), scheduled for delivery in Q3 2026. This position will support the operation of the aircraft alongside a Falcon 900 and/or Falcon 2000, managed as part of a seven-pilot account.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensures the Safe Operation of Flight:
- Complies with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completes flight planning, performance, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Utilizes Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Coordinates with company personnel as required.
- Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including maintenance status checks, to ensure the aircraft is mission capable.
- Maintains records of all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Maintains monitoring and accomplishment of ground servicing items such as fueling, oil, and oxygen in accordance with SOPs.
- Completes passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations.
- Communicates with crew and support personnel using CRM and TEM to ensure clear and timely communication during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Delivers an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides quality service to owners and passengers.
- Identifies and addresses opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Collaborates with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to maintain consistent service experiences.
- Resolves conflicts and challenges in an acceptable manner.
- Maintains Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complies with company SMS program and reports safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
Years of Experience
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
