Pilot (First Officer) - South Central Region

About the role

As a Pilot at NetJets, you are responsible for delivering a superior air transportation experience with an unmatched safety record on every flight. You serve as the face of NetJets, combining technically accurate and safe aviation with exceptional service to provide a concierge-level experience for every Owner and passenger. Your role spans professional aviator, in-flight service provider, and liaison between Owners and NetJets, ensuring a seamless and professional experience from arrival at the FBO to departure at the final destination.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the aircraft from taxi, take-off, and landing per FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
• Greet Owners/passengers pre-flight, brief them on the flight/trip, verify itineraries, provide weather updates, and conduct safety briefings.
• Deliver in-flight service, including handling alcohol and catering.
• Load and properly stow all baggage on the aircraft.
• Conduct flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
• Act as the final authority on the aircraft for all operational decisions, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidance.
• Serve as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from arrival at the FBO to safe departure at the final destination.
• Communicate maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and complete associated paperwork.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, depending on the specific role.

Requirements

• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), Restricted ATP, or meet the requirements for ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with multi-engine rating as follows (IAW 61.160):
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • 1,500 hours total flight time experience or 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification or 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
  • 200 hours cross-country (>50 nm) flight time.
  • 250 hours fixed-wing PIC.
  • 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings.
  • 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excludes simulator time).
  • ATP written exam completed prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
  • 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
• Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
• FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
• Valid passport and authorization to work in the U.S. with unrestricted travel in and out of the country.
• Ability to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Extreme flexibility to adjust to rapid changes in schedule and conditions.
• Ability to manage rest to remain prepared for flight duty during tours lasting up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days, spanning different time zones and extreme weather.
• Ability to be away from home for seven or more days and nights while on duty, staying in hotels.
• Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
• Ability to pass Transportation Security Administration (TSA) required background screening.
• Valid U.S. state driver’s license.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance and strong interpersonal skills to positively interact with passengers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure.
• Ability to make quick, accurate decisions with close attention to technical and passenger-service details.
• Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
• Ability to work around animals, including handling and care before, during, and after flights.
• Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.

Pay

Base Salary Range: $86,015 - $117,706
