Pilot (First Officer) - South Central Region

About the role

As a Pilot at NetJets, you will provide a superior air transportation experience with an unwavering commitment to safety on every flight. You will serve as the face of NetJets, delivering not only technically accurate and safe transportation but also an exceptional service experience for every Owner and passenger. This role requires wearing many hats, from professional aviator to in-flight service provider, ensuring a concierge-level experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the aircraft from taxi, take-off, and landing per FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
• Greet Owners/passengers pre-flight, brief them on the flight/trip, verify itineraries, provide weather updates, and conduct safety briefings.
• Deliver in-flight service, including handling alcohol and catering.
• Load and properly stow all baggage on the aircraft.
• Conduct flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
• Act as the final authority on the aircraft for all areas of operation, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidance.
• Serve as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from arrival at the FBO to departure at the final destination.
• Communicate maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and complete associated paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned, depending on the position.

Requirements

• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), Restricted ATP, or meet the requirements for ATP/R-ATP certificate with multi-engine rating (per FAA 61.160):
• At least 21 years of age.
• 1,500 hours total flight time or 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification or 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
• 200 hours cross-country (>50 nm) flight time.
• 250 hours fixed-wing PIC.
• 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings.
• 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excludes simulator time).
• ATP written exam completed prior to start of Indoctrination Training.
• 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
• Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
• FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
• Valid passport with authorization to work in the U.S. and travel internationally without restriction.
• Valid U.S. state driver’s license.
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English.
• Service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance and strong passenger-interaction skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure.
• Ability to make quick, accurate decisions with attention to detail, both technically and from a passenger-service perspective.
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly.
• Ability to work around animals, including handling and care before, during, and after flights.
• Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to adjust to rapid changes and manage rest to remain prepared for flight duty during tours lasting up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days.
• Ability to be away from home for seven or more days and nights, staying in hotels.
• Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges and pass TSA background screening.

Pay

Base salary range: $86,015 – $117,706.

Schedule

• Varying hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Duty tours may last up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight consecutive days, spanning different time zones and extreme weather conditions.
• May require being away from home for seven or more days and nights, staying in hotels.
