About the role

As a Pilot at NetJets, you are responsible for delivering a superior air transportation experience with an unmatched safety record on every flight. You serve as the face of NetJets, combining technically precise and safe aviation with exceptional service to provide a concierge-level experience for every Owner and passenger. Your role encompasses professional aviator duties as well as in-flight service, ensuring a seamless and high-quality journey from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate the aircraft during taxi, take-off, and landing in compliance with FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
  • Greet Owners and passengers pre-flight, provide flight briefings, verify itineraries, deliver weather updates, and conduct safety briefings, including any changes to the itinerary.
  • Provide in-flight service, including handling alcohol and catering.
  • Load and properly stow all baggage as needed.
  • Conduct flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
  • Act as the final authority on the aircraft for all operational decisions, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidance.
  • Serve as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from arrival at the FBO to departure at the final destination.
  • Communicate maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and complete associated paperwork.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, depending on the specific role or trip requirements.

Requirements

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), Restricted ATP, or meet the requirements for ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with multi-engine rating as follows (IAW 61.160):
    • At least 21 years of age
    • 1,500 hours total flight time experience, or
    • 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, or
    • 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, or
    • 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate
    • 200 hours cross-country (>50 nm) flight time
    • 250 hours fixed-wing PIC
    • 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings
    • 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excludes simulator time)
    • ATP written exam completed prior to start of Indoctrination Training
    • 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time
  • Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate
  • FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit
  • Valid passport with authorization to work in the U.S. and unrestricted international travel
  • Ability to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Extreme flexibility to adjust to rapid changes in schedule and conditions
  • Ability to manage rest to remain prepared for flight duty during tours lasting up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days, spanning different time zones and extreme weather
  • Ability to be away from home for seven or more days and nights while on duty, staying in hotels
  • Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges
  • Ability to pass Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background screening
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Service-oriented with a neat, professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure
  • Ability to make quick, accurate decisions with close attention to technical and passenger-service details
  • Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly
  • Ability to work around animals, including handling and care before, during, and after flights
  • Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke

Pay

Base Salary Range: $86,015 - $117,706
