About the role
The ideal candidate will lead a flight department in South Florida, at MIA, supervising personnel to ensure compliance with Solairus' policies and procedures, FAA, and other manuals.
Responsibilities
- Safely and professionally meet the travel needs of clients while adhering to Solairus’ culture of service, safety, and integrity.
- Supervise assigned personnel to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain a current read and file of all Solairus Aviation memorandums.
- Coordinate, schedule, and review crew and maintenance personnel training with contractors.
- Coordinate maintenance test, training, and other flights not initiated by the client's normal scheduling system.
- Develop scheduling procedures with clients to promote reliable, efficient scheduling of aircraft.
- Approve and schedule PTO for all assigned personnel.
- Conduct meetings with personnel to coordinate activities, identify problems, answer questions, pass information, and promote employee goodwill.
- Approve expense accounts for assigned personnel.
- Participate in the interview process for new employees.
- Solicit input and/or approval from the Client Responsible Officer for operational, personnel, and administrative issues.
- Notify the Client Responsible Officer of anticipated needs for pilot relief.
- Submit written reports as required by the Operations Manuals with copies to the Client Responsible Officer.
- Revise all copies of manuals and publications assigned to aircraft.
- Maintain a Training Currency and Monthly Flight Time Record on each crewmember assigned to the account.
- Timely submit training records, medicals, and other operations data to flight operations as required.
- Promote customer goodwill through high-quality service and professional demeanor.
- Promote the business reputation, company image, and goodwill of Solairus Aviation.
- Participate actively in the Safety Management System (SMS) implementation and initiatives, being familiar with SMS policies and procedures.

- Total time: 3000 hours
- PIC: 1500 hours
- MEL: 1500 hours
- MEL PIC: 500 hours
- Time in Turbo Jet: 500 hours
- Instrument Time: 250 hours
