About the role
The Pilates Trainer at Bronson Lifestyle Improvement & Research Center (BAC) provides safe and effective Pilates Reformer training in a private and/or small group setting. Sessions include reformer training and may incorporate tower, barrel, mat, and chair work.
Responsibilities
- Create exercise programs for a variety of clients.
- Conduct individual meetings with clients.
- Perform movement assessments and review health histories to prescribe exercise.
- Evaluate client form and provide exercises to improve outcomes and prevent injuries.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, scheduling, payroll reconciliation, and responding to emails.
- Follow up with clients via phone or email to monitor progress and provide feedback.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Pass Pilates Reformer training and have at least 6 months of experience.
- Maintain current certification or registration.
- CPR certification within 6 months of hire.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Ability to interpret body composition testing.
- Knowledgeable about clean, well-lit, and temperature-controlled environments.
- Standing, walking, and demonstrating exercise throughout the shift.
- Lifting, pushing, and moving objects up to 100 pounds.
- Helping members with lifting and spotting.
- Communicating with current members, BAC staff, and potential clients.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
