Picker/Packer

Description

The Picker/Packer will have a key role in the efficient distribution of Smurfit Westrock's warehouse deliveries and arrivals. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8am – 4:30pm, with occasional overtime and weekend work. Pay is $17.50 - $18/hr, dependent on experience. The position is located at St. Charles, MO 63301.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One or more years’ experience coordinating shipments in a warehousing or distribution environment
• Ability to perform tasks under pressure and within a deadline-driven environment
• Ability to handle detail-oriented work to ensure proper items and quantities are picked to arrive at customers in good condition
• General fluency in English required, verbal and written

Physical Requirements

• Perform job duties in severe weather conditions: heat, cold, rain, etc.
• Walk for distances of 100 yards repeatedly and without assistance.
• Lift 50 pounds and without assistance or equipment.
• Utilize all material handling equipment without assistance.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time as a primary job responsibility.
• Observance of established safety guidelines in conducting physical work activity duties.
• May assist in conducting warehouse inventory counts as required.
