Piazza Produce Truck Driver

Piazza Produce, a FreshEdge LLC company, delivers a wide array of produce, locally sourced goods, and specialty items to over 150 cities across Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee, and Michigan. Our fleet includes refrigerated trucks with GPS tracking, making us a strong option for both dry and perishable loads.

Pay

• Average annual earnings: $52,000 - $56,875
• Base rate: $16.00/hr. for non-CDL drivers and $17.50/hr. for CDL drivers, with higher rates based on experience
• Scheduled annual pay increases
• Overtime paid after 40 hours worked
• Sign-on bonus: $3,000 NET ($1,000 at 30, 60, and 90 days)
• Weekly loyalty bonus: $130
• Safety bonus: 1% of total wages paid annually after 90 days for safe drivers
• Paid via direct deposit weekly

Schedule

• Home daily with one possible overnight layover per week (never more than one night at a time; hotel provided)
• Monday - Saturday (5-6 days per week)
• Every Sunday off, plus one additional weekday off
• Typical shift: 8-12 hours, starting between 3:00 AM - 6:00 AM (until work is done)

Responsibilities

• Deliver to over 150 cities across IN, OH, IL, TN, and MI
• 15-25 stops per day
• Deliver 300+ cases per day (may include up/down stairs at some locations)
• Touch freight: load and unload
• Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs without assistance
• Use pallet jacks, 2-wheel dollies, and phone scanners

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• For-hire endorsement; CDL drivers encouraged to apply
• 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred but not required
• No DUI/DWI allowed
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
• Proven safe PSP score
• No more than 3 preventable accidents in the past 3 years
• Must meet DOT testing and physical requirements
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must live within a 40-mile radius of Indianapolis, IN or be willing to relocate
• Ability to work in all environments (hot, cold, dusty, indoor/outdoor) and under difficult conditions

Equipment

• Freightliner M2 trucks (2018-2023 models)
• Mostly automatic transmissions; some manual trucks in fleet
