Fleet Technician (DOT) - Foods

About the role

Maintain and repair fleet vehicles to keep drivers safe and on the road delivering beloved brands like Lay's, Doritos, and Cheetos. Your technical skill and preventative work ensure vehicles are reliable and communities stay stocked.

Pay

$30 per hour. Eligible hires receive a $7,500 sign‑on bonus paid within six months.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. (Weekend, holiday, and off‑shift work may be required as needed.)

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle; license not suspended or revoked for a moving violation in the past three years.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods.
• Ability to work in tight spaces for extended periods.
• Required to work on/under trucks for an entire shift (8–12 hours).
• May be required to work weekends, holidays, and off‑shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, including diagnosing mechanical issues and completing preventative maintenance.
• Work alongside experienced mechanics on more complex repairs and troubleshooting.
• Manage parts inventory and accurately charge parts and labor to work orders using provided systems.
• Build relationships with vendors when obtaining estimates for parts or outside labor.
