Piazza Produce Truck Driver

Our fleet includes refrigerated trucks with GPS tracking, making us a great option for dry or perishable loads.

About the role

Non-CDL Regional Home Daily Box Truck Reefer Drivers will operate out of Lexington, KY, delivering to a large distribution network with opportunities for backhauls. Drivers must be able to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs unassisted, use pallet jacks, a 2-wheel dolly, and a phone scanner, and handle touch freight by loading and unloading.

Responsibilities

• Deliver to over 150 cities in IN, OH, and KY with 15-25 stops per day
• Deliver 300+ cases daily, including up/downstairs at some locations
• Load and unload freight (touch freight)
• Operate pallet jacks, 2-wheel dollies, and phone scanners
• Work in various environments (hot, cold, dusty, indoor/outdoor)
• Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain a safe driving record

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• No DUI/DWI allowed
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
• No more than 3 preventable accidents in the past 3 years
• Proven safe PSP Score
• Must meet DOT testing and physical requirements
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must live within a 40-mile radius of Lexington, KY, or be willing to relocate
• 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred but not required
• CDL A, B, or C license holders are encouraged to apply for other opportunities

Pay

• Average annual earnings: $51,500+
• Base rate: $18.00 - $19.00/hour with 50+ average hours per week
• Overtime paid after 40 hours
• Scheduled annual pay increases
• Sign-on bonus: $3,000 NET ($1,000 at 30, 60, and 90 days)
• Loyalty bonus
• Safety bonus: 1% of total wages (paid annually after 90 days for safe drivers)
• Paid via direct deposit weekly

Schedule

• Home daily
• Monday - Saturday (5-6 days per week)
• Off every Sunday and one other weekday
• Typically 8-12 hour shifts starting at 5:00 AM (until work is done)
