PI RN Trauma Coordinator - Days - FT - Orange

About the role

The P.I. Coordinator will coordinate all aspects of the trauma performance improvement and patient safety processes, including systems and peer review processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain processes related to multidisciplinary trauma peer review and internal trauma systems issues
• Identify issues (provider and system)
• Track and trend complications/audit filters/issues
• Maintain appropriate files and data systems

Requirements

• Understanding of continuous quality improvement principles and concepts
• Experience using CQI tools and techniques
• Minimum of 3-5 years clinical trauma nursing experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to influence, persuade and interact effectively with a wide variety of audiences
• Current Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, CPHQ
• Bachelor of Science, Nursing

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing
• Computer skill and experience using MSOffice products

Skills

• Initiative, resourcefulness and problem solving skills
• Detailed knowledge of trauma hospital PIPS requirements
• Knowledge of the trauma standard of care across the continuum
• Knowledge of the operations of the hospital trauma system
