About the role
The P.I. Coordinator will coordinate all aspects of the trauma performance improvement and patient safety processes, including systems and peer review processes.
Responsibilities
- Maintain processes related to multidisciplinary trauma peer review and internal trauma systems issues
- Identify issues (provider and system)
- Track and trend complications/audit filters/issues
- Maintain appropriate files and data systems
Requirements
- Understanding of continuous quality improvement principles and concepts
- Experience using CQI tools and techniques
- Minimum of 3-5 years clinical trauma nursing experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence, persuade and interact effectively with a wide variety of audiences
- Current Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, CPHQ
- Bachelor of Science, Nursing
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing
- Computer skill and experience using MSOffice products
Skills
- Initiative, resourcefulness and problem solving skills
- Detailed knowledge of trauma hospital PIPS requirements
- Knowledge of the trauma standard of care across the continuum
- Knowledge of the operations of the hospital trauma system
