Trauma Nurse Coordinator - Days - FT - Orange

About the role

The Trauma Nurse Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the clinical care of trauma patients and their families/caregivers. This role aims to eliminate barriers to timely care, facilitate smooth care transitions, and enhance patient and provider satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Triage and respond to inquiries or refer them as necessary
• Identify and resolve delays and obstacles, and develop/implement solutions as needed
• Work with the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Program Manager for the development and growth of the program
• Provide nursing services and other assigned responsibilities

Requirements

• Five years of recent RN experience in a related clinical setting such as ICU or ED
• Understands the age-specific cognitive, physical, emotional, and maturation processes
• Customer service skills appropriate to the job

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support Education

Skills

• Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements
• Experience working with trauma patients in a clinical setting
• Experience navigating patients through a complex healthcare system
• Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
