About the role

The Senior Medical Physicist plays a vital leadership role within the radiotherapy team, focusing on ensuring patient, staff, and public safety while enhancing imaging and therapeutic radiation precision.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on complex clinical and operational issues.
• Support the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of new procedures and technologies.
• Collaborate with physicians and radiation oncology professionals to deliver safe, effective, and high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in physics or related fields.
• Active medical physics licensure.
• Certification by recognized boards (e.g., ABR, ABMP).
• 5+ years of postgraduate experience in medical physics.
• Expertise in EBRT, CT simulation, and image registration.
• Familiarity with Varian technology such as TrueBeam, Eclipse, ARIA, and surface guidance systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional advanced degrees or CAMPEP accreditation.
• 8+ years of experience in medical physics.
• Expertise in SRS/SRT.
• Experience with third-party QA systems and safety regulations.
