About the Role

Texas Oncology is seeking a full-time Clinical Certified Medical Physicist (Ph.D. or M.S.) located at the Plano (East), TX clinic. Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country, with approximately 600+ providers across 220+ sites in Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, high-touch, evidence-based cancer care to help patients achieve "More breakthroughs. More victories." in their fight against cancer.

Today, Texas Oncology treats half of all Texans diagnosed with cancer annually. The Plano East clinic is part of the Texas Oncology Dallas region, collaborating with five other fully staffed clinics through a shared infrastructure for record-keeping, treatment planning, and quality assurance.

Facilities and Equipment

TXO Plano East operates as part of a network of six Texas Oncology clinics in the Dallas area, sharing a common database and the following systems:

• Eclipse treatment planning (conventional and SRS/SBRT)
• Rad Calc 2nd check program
• Profiler, MapCheck3, SNC Routine, and 3D scanning system

The Team

The Dallas region includes 11 board-certified radiation oncologists, 9 ABR-certified physicists, and 10 certified medical dosimetrists. As part of Texas Oncology, you will collaborate with network physicists, participate in vendor webinars, journal clubs, and committee service. Responsibilities

Preferred experience includes:

• Eclipse and Oncentra treatment planning systems
• HDR planning and treatment
• ARIA ROIS and Mosaiq ROIS
• SBRT and SRS procedures

The candidate will primarily work at the Plano, TX site and provide support to other POD sites as needed.

Qualifications

• CAMPEP-accredited residency in Medical Physics
• Valid Texas Medical Board license
• American Board of Radiology certification or board eligibility
• Preferred: Two years of experience as a certified medical physicist
• Working knowledge of SRS, SBRT, and HDR
• Experience with Varian linear accelerators, Eclipse, and Oncentra planning systems
• Strong organization and oral/written communication skills
