About the Role

Texas Oncology is seeking a full-time Clinical Certified Medical Physicist (Ph.D. or M.S.) located at the Plano (East), TX clinic. Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country, with approximately 600+ providers across 220+ sites in Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. This position is based in Plano, a family-centric area with top-scale amenities, manicured golf courses, and a progressive urban style while maintaining a small-town friendly atmosphere in surrounding communities.

Facilities and Equipment

TXO Plano East is part of the Texas Oncology Dallas region, which includes six fully staffed clinics (Plano East, Medical City, Presbyterian, Sammons, Mesquite, and Rockwall). The region shares a common infrastructure, including:

• A single database for record and verify
• Eclipse treatment planning (conventional and SRS/SBRT)
• Rad Calc 2nd check program
• Profiler, MapCheck3, SNC Routine, and 3D scanning system

The Team

The Dallas region consists of:

• 11 board-certified radiation oncologists
• 9 ABR-certified physicists
• 10 certified medical dosimetrists

As part of Texas Oncology, you will collaborate with network physicists, participate in vendor webinars, journal clubs, and committee service. The organization is committed to advancing clinical research and developing innovative treatment approaches.

Responsibilities

Preferred experience includes:

• Eclipse and Oncentra treatment planning systems
• HDR planning and treatment
• ARIA ROIS and Mosaiq ROIS
• SBRT and SRS procedures

The candidate will primarily work at the Plano, TX site and provide support to other POD sites as needed.

Qualifications

• CAMPEP-accredited residency program in Medical Physics
• Valid Texas Medical Board license
• American Board of Radiology certification or board eligibility
• Preferred: Two years of experience as a certified medical physicist
• Working knowledge of SRS, SBRT, and HDR
• Experience with Varian linear accelerators
• Experience with Eclipse and Oncentra Planning systems
• Strong organization and oral/written communication skills
