Physician, Urologist

About the role

MaineHealth Pen Bay Urology in Rockport, Maine is seeking a full‑time Urologist to care for patients in the coastal community at both Pen Bay Hospital and Waldo Hospital. The practice currently includes three urologists and two APPs and treats adults and children with a wide range of urologic conditions, including kidney stones, urinary tract infections, male infertility, bladder cancer, prostate cancer, vasectomy, and vasovasostomies. The position involves a mix of outpatient clinic work and operating‑room procedures within a busy, patient‑centered team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive urologic care to adult and pediatric patients in both clinic and surgical settings.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, OR staff, and support personnel to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
• Perform surgeries and procedures related to kidney stones, bladder and prostate cancers, male infertility, vasectomies, and other urologic conditions.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and productivity incentives.
• Maintain active participation in the regional team at Pen Bay Hospital and Waldo Hospital.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Active and unrestricted State of Maine medical license, or ability to obtain one prior to employment.
• Board certification or eligibility in Urology.
• Active and unrestricted DEA license, or ability to obtain one prior to employment.
• EMR experience preferred.

Compensation

The annual base salary for this position is $500,934. Total compensation packages may also include recruitment payments, relocation assistance, productivity incentives, and quality incentives, based on eligibility.
