About the role
Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Thoracic Medical Oncologist Physician. It operates 47 hospitals and more than 370 health and urgent care centers across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Gulf South.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for thoracic malignancies, including lung, esophageal, and mediastinal cancers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans for complex cases.
- Participate in clinical research and contribute to the advancement of cancer care through evidence-based practices.
- Teach and mentor fellows and residents in the field of thoracic oncology.
- Contribute to the development and growth of the thoracic oncology program at Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Requirements
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Hematology and Oncology.
- Experience in thoracic oncology is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- Current license to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana.
- Passing score on the USMLE Step 1 or COMLEX Level 1 exam.
