Physician - Section Head - Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a BC Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist to serve as Section Head of the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Service Line in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team and demonstrate expertise in all aspects of Advanced Heart Failure, including inpatient, outpatient, and outreach services.
• Participate in the Amyloidosis Clinic, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Clinic, and Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic.
• Engage in the cardiogenic shock initiative, which is multidisciplinary in approach and growing throughout the state and the Gulf South region.
• Work within the academic environment, with a strong cardiology fellowship integral to the inpatient team dynamic.

Requirements

• Board Certified in Cardiology.
• Expertise in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Services.
• Experience leading a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong interest in academic medicine.

Qualifications

• MD degree.
• Completion of a Cardiology Fellowship.
• Current license to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $300,000 - $400,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
