Physician - Section Chief for Hospital Medicine - Full Time Academic

About the role

The successful candidate will lead the Hospital Medicine Section within the Department of Medicine at LSU Health Shreveport, an integrated teaching hospital and health system in partnership with Ochsner Health. Responsibilities include clinical work as a hospitalist, scheduling for faculty hospitalists, managing quality metrics, teaching house staff and medical students, and conducting annual performance evaluations.

- Clinical work as a hospitalist - Scheduling for faculty hospitalists - Managing quality metrics for the hospital medicine program - Teaching house staff and medical students - Conducting annual performance evaluations on all hospitalists

Requirements

- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Hospital Medicine by ABIM - Five years experience as a hospitalist - Excellent skills with regard to clinical medicine, leadership, communication, and teaching

Qualifications
