Physician - Pulmonologist/Critical Care

About the role

The Syracuse VA Medical Center is seeking an Intermittent Staff Pulmonary/Critical Care Physician to provide high-quality care to Veterans. The physician will provide inpatient and outpatient pulmonary and critical care services, consultations, and procedures while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support safe, timely, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provides inpatient and outpatient Pulmonary and Critical Care services, including consultation, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients
• Provides inpatient Pulmonary consultation services and Critical Care attending services on a rotational basis within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and step-down inpatient units
• Performs bronchoscopy and other clinical procedures within the Pulmonary Section and within the physician's scope of practice
• Provides sleep medicine consultation and participates in the evaluation and interpretation of sleep studies
