Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients, and treat acute and chronic illnesses
  • Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic tests
  • Involves patients and their families in care and treatment decisions
  • Creates treatment plans and completes orders in patient's charts
  • Collaborates on improvements in care delivery and service with staff, other physicians and management
  • Initiates appropriate specialty referrals
  • Provides clinical information to the interdisciplinary team in a clear and timely manner
  • Sets up and ensures proper patient documentation is timely, accurate and complete
  • Works with practice management to ensure proper compliance with billing, coding and CPT code assignment
  • Achieves and maintains optimal patient access
  • Provides interdepartmental medical consultation as requested
  • Participates in the development of medical protocols, standard procedures and management of Qualifications

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree with ABIM-recognized internal medicine residency (three years minimum) or ABFM-recognized family medicine residency (three years minimum)
  • Valid American Board certification in either internal medicine or family medicine and renewed (if needed) prior to expiration
  • Valid and unrestricted New York medical license
  • BLS certification
  • Valid DEA registration and Controlled Substance Certificate (or in the process of obtaining)

Qualifications

Pay

$300K+ guaranteed base (two years); $40K+ sign-on bonus, wRVU production bonuses and Quality incentives, malpractice coverage, retirement/pension and full traditional benefits, up to $80K in student loan reimbursement.

Schedule

40 hours per week, 36 patient hours/week, 4 admin time, four-day work week
