Responsibilities

  • Empower your team with advanced tools like AI and Up-to-Date and a supportive environment, minimizing administrative burdens so you can focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Transform healthcare delivery across the Southeast with state-of-the-art facilities and technology enabling the highest quality care.
  • Prioritize preventive care, care coordination and education to inspire patients to lead healthier lives while driving down the cost of care.
  • Treat a wide range of medical conditions, develop long-term, personal relationships with patients, produce individualized healthcare programs based on patient historical data, and offer continuous support and health management advice.
  • Assume responsibility for day-to-day supervision of physician assistants/nurse practitioners, participate in medical staff peer review process, performance improvement, continuing education, risk management and Clinical Indicator selection.
  • Utilize EMR Allscripts/Veradigm to document in the Health Record and promote continuity of patient care by interacting and collaborating with other members of the healthcare team.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) required; current State of Georgia License in good standing.
  • Board certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine required.
  • Current Georgia Medical License required.
  • Valid DEA required.
  • Completion of a family practice/internal medicine residency.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Caring, attentive nature.
  • Possess a working understanding and support of a managed care environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and maintain relationships with various health plans.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Required Education, Experience & Skills: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) required; current State of Georgia License in good standing. Board certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine required. Current Georgia Medical License required. Valid DEA required. Completion of a family practice/internal medicine residency. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required. Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Caring, attentive nature. Possess a working understanding and support of a managed care environment. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and maintain relationships with various health plans.
  • Preferred Education, Experience & Skills: Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency preferred.

Skills

  • No Obstetrics
  • Clinic Hours are Monday – Friday
  • After hours call service
  • 18 – 22 patients per day (pending complexity)
  • Laboratory services on-site
  • State-of-the-art technology with integrated EMR and electronic prescribing
  • No admitting; No nights
  • Must remain in compliance with all rules and regulations set by Georgia Composite Board based on the Georgia Medical Practice Act.
  • Educating patients in health management and disease prevention.
  • Support the development and implementation of evidence-based practice guidelines;
  • Provide appropriate patient education;
  • Assume responsibility for day-to-day supervision of physician assistants/nurse practitioners;
  • Participate in medical staff peer review process, performance improvement, continuing education, risk management and Clinical Indicator selection;
  • When appropriate, assist clinical personnel in their evaluation of phone calls and determining appropriate disposition;
  • Utilizes EMR Allscripts/Veradigm to document in the Health Record;
  • Promote continuity of patient care by interacting and collaborating with other members of the healthcare team;

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to use fine motor skills to operate office equipment and/or machinery
  • Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing
  • Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations to support business needs as required
