Physician, Primary Care

About the role

We are seeking healthcare enthusiasts to join our team of dedicated physicians who provide high-quality medical care to our patients. Our goal is to build the best primary care environment for patients.

Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the Medical Director and is primarily responsible for the provision of high-quality medical care to our patients.
• Provides all physician care generally provided at a family practice or managed care facility.
• Manages all aspects of patient care while on shift.
• Supervises and directs the center’s other clinical staff (Medical Assistants, X-Ray Technicians, etc.).
• Collects biological specimens and processes them in the laboratory for testing.
• Affixes accurate completion of charts and medical records in a timely manner; adheres to all clinical policies and procedures.
• Delivers care appropriate for centers with a multicultural patient population.
• Elicits detailed patient histories and conducts complete physician examinations.
• Reaches diagnosis and orders appropriate laboratory tests and referrals, etc., as well as counsels patient and family on health and disease.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) and valid unencumbered license to practice the profession.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required; must maintain active certification throughout employment.
• Current active Federal and State DEA License.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Physician.
• Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics.
• Broad knowledge of common medication, side effects and contraindications.
• In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Respect for patient’s confidentiality.
• Career-oriented and compassionate.
• Responsible and trustworthy.
• Fluency in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
