About the role
We are seeking healthcare enthusiasts to join our team of dedicated physicians who provide high-quality medical care to our patients. Our goal is to build the best primary care environment for patients.
Responsibilities
- Reports directly to the Medical Director and is primarily responsible for the provision of high-quality medical care to our patients.
- Provides all physician care generally provided at a family practice or managed care facility.
- Manages all aspects of patient care while on shift.
- Supervises and directs the center’s other clinical staff (Medical Assistants, X-Ray Technicians, etc.).
- Collects biological specimens and processes them in the laboratory for testing.
- Affixes accurate completion of charts and medical records in a timely manner; adheres to all clinical policies and procedures.
- Delivers care appropriate for centers with a multicultural patient population.
- Elicits detailed patient histories and conducts complete physician examinations.
- Reaches diagnosis and orders appropriate laboratory tests and referrals, etc., as well as counsels patient and family on health and disease.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) and valid unencumbered license to practice the profession.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required; must maintain active certification throughout employment.
- Current active Federal and State DEA License.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Physician.
- Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics.
- Broad knowledge of common medication, side effects and contraindications.
- In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Respect for patient’s confidentiality.
- Career-oriented and compassionate.
- Responsible and trustworthy.
- Fluency in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
