Physician - Primary Care
Position Summary
This position will provide quality integrated primary health care services and medication management to patients at Aspire Indiana Health in an outpatient setting, and will perform as an independent and interdependent member of the medical services team providing integrated general medical and behavioral health care to Aspire clients, which may include children, adolescents, adults, and elderly clients in need of services as assigned by the Medical Director. This position will also serve as a collaborator for APN's and Physician Assistant's.

Responsibilities
- Provide quality integrated primary health care services and medication management to patients at Aspire Indiana Health in an outpatient setting
- Perform as an independent and interdependent member of the medical services team providing integrated general medical and behavioral health care to Aspire clients, which may include children, adolescents, adults, and elderly clients in need of services as assigned by the Medical Director
- Serve as a collaborator for APN's and Physician Assistant's
- Ensure compliance with state licensure laws, state medication administration laws, etc.
- Have the ability to empathize and be compassionate to patient needs
- Demonstrate the ability to provide patient-centered care utilizing clinical best practice guidelines
- Be knowledgeable of social service systems (Medicaid, Social Security, etc.), community resources, legal systems, school systems and child welfare systems
- Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting
- Use the Aspire’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other technologies supporting quality patient care and disease management as it relates to clinical documentation
Requirements
- Medical degree from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education required
- One (1) year experience with underserved communities preferred
- Must be recognized as a Medical Doctor (MD) or a DO with Prescriptive Authority by the State of Indiana
- Must have current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate and State of Indiana Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)
- Prefer credentialing / board certification in field of expertise
- Must have current BLS certification
